Awarded to a member who has made outstanding contributions to the care of children, to pediatric radiology, and to our Society.

Since 1998, the Society has extended Honorary membership to any non-SPR member who has made outstanding contributions to the care of children.

Pioneer Award

The award is given to an individual whose work has had a significant impact on the way pediatric radiology is practiced or perceived. The award is given to recognize early and significant contributions to our specialty and Society.

Singleton-Taybi Award

The Singleton-Taybi Award is Awarded annually by the SPR to recognize the lifetime achievements of an SPR member in academic pediatric radiology. The awardee may be recognized for achievements in teaching/education, research, service, outreach, leadership/administration or any combination thereof. Prior to 2020, the award focused solely on education. Beginning in 2020, the award recognizes broader and more diverse contributions to academic pediatric radiology.

NOW OPEN: Nominating Committee Nominations

Consider influencing the future of the Society by running for election to serve as a member of the SPR Nominating Committee. Each year, the Nominating Committee identifies eligible members in good standing to the SPR and SPR REF Board of Directors. The call for nominations to be considered for the committee is now open.  Click here to view the submission form and additional details.  The deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025.  Only the person willing to stand for consideration is to complete the interest form.

Are you interested in standing for consideration for election to the SPR Ethics Committee? You, the members, will select one member to serve a two-year term.  Click here to view the submission form and additional details.  The deadline is Friday, February 28, 2025. Only the person willing to stand for consideration is to complete the interest form.

SCORCH Scholarship

SCORCH John D. Strain Leadership Scholarship 

Submission Deadline: March 17, 2025

The applicant must meet the following to be eligible for consideration:

  • Be a current member of the Society for Pediatric Radiology (SPR).
  • Serve in a leadership role (e.g., director, vice chair) or demonstrates leadership potential/skills as recognized by a SCORCH member or department chair.
  • Be a fellowship-trained pediatric radiologist or a pediatric radiologist subspecialist.
  • Be 5-15 years post-fellowship.
  • Be the only candidate from their institution; the institution must be a SCORCH member
