Ultrasound of the Ankle and Lower Extremity Nerves
Live scanning of the ankle will be performed to evaluate the joint space and tendons including the posterior tibialis, flexor digitorum longus, flexor hallucis longus, peroneus longus and brevis, anterior tendons and Achilles tendon. Ligaments will be shown including the syndesmotic, anterior talofibular, and calcaneofibular ligaments. Live scanning of the lower extremity nerves to assess the sciatic, deep, and superficial peroneal nerves, and sural nerve.
